Judy L. Thompson, Ph.D.
Dr. Thompson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation at Rutgers. Her research interests focus on schizophrenia – in particular perceptual and cognitive impairments and related behavioral interventions. She also has a longstanding interest in developmental questions related to psychosis, in particular risk factors related to initial onset and prognosis, as well as pathophysiology and treatment of psychotic symptoms. She is currently collaborating with the DSR on a study to evaluate a visual remediation intervention for schizophrenia, and working with colleagues in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation on a study of cognitive remediation and academic performance among college students with psychiatric conditions.
