Psychology Internship (Newark)

Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, the mental health service delivery component of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, sponsors an APA-approved full-time paid doctoral internship program in clinical psychology on its Newark campus. This program works collaboratively with the Department of Psychiatry at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. The program consists of four major tracks: one focusing on work with children and adolescents in a community mental health setting; one focusing on work with adults in a community mental health setting; one working with children and adolescents in a school setting; and one focusing on work with adult inmates with mental illnesses in the NJ Department of Corrections.

Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care in Newark is seeking psychology interns who are dedicated to careers working with diverse populations in urban community mental health, correctional, and hospital settings. We seek interns who are trained in evidence-based practices, and who are open to engaging with our supervisors, in a challenging and constructive year. Our program will most benefit interns who wish to develop into well-rounded clinical psychologists.
