Training & Technical Assistance for the NJ Children's System of Care

Training & Technical Assistance Overview

The New Jersey Children's System of Care Training & Technical Assistance (TTA) program provides comprehensive resources for partners within the NJ Children's System of Care (CSOC).

CSOC TTA services include training, curriculum design, best practices implementation and evaluation, and customized technical assistance. Under contract with the NJ Department of Children and Families, the CSOC training program draws on a commitment to competency based curriculum design, development of local expertise and agency training capacity. The training program supports the delivery of effective services for children, youth, and young adults with behavioral, emotional, intellectual, developmental and substance abuse challenges, along with their families.

Training and technical assistance efforts create a learning community infused with the values and principles of Wraparound, an evidence-based practice, including values that are strength-based, culturally competent, community-based, individualized and youth and family centered. These efforts support the development of essential knowledge and skill competencies of Care Management, Family Support, and Children's Mobile Response staff, providers, and stakeholders to work within a system of care model. Online certifications are provided for the Information Management Decision Support (IMDS), or CANS, tools as well as for specific system of care roles including Behavioral Assistants, Care Managers, Family Support Partners, and Mobile Response staff.
