Core Competency Trainings for
the implementation of Evidence-Based Practices

The Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare Technical Assistance Center (UBHC-TAC) offers a series of trainings geared toward enhancing the existing skills and core competencies of behavioral health service providers for programs funded by the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). This annual series focusses on enriching the fundamental skills necessary to successfully implement behavioral health evidence-based practices. Topics addressed include engagement, motivational strategies, cognitive behavioral strategies, adult educational strategies, as well as the integration of these critical skills.
