The Latency Afternoon Hospital Program (Acute Child IOP) provides psychiatric services to children ages 6-11, who are able to return to the community but continue to require significant clinical intervention. Call 800-969-5300 for more information.
What is the Acute Child IOP Program?
As part of a range of services, the Acute Child Intensive Outpatient Program (Acute Child IOP) allows children to participate in treatment after school and return to their homes at night.
What types of therapy will I receive?
You will participate in a variety of therapies as recommended by your treatment team, which may include any of the following:
- Community meetings
- Crisis Counseling
- Individual Therapy
- Creative Arts Therapy
- Medication Education
- Activities Therapy
- Family Therapy
In addition, medication is often recommended as part of your therapy. Your psychiatrist will consult with you regarding their specific treatment recommendations.
