Michele Miller MSN, RN

Vice President of Acute Services, Nursing Service and the Child Division

Michele Miller MSN, RN is Vice President of Acute Services, Nursing Service and the Child Division at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC).  Michele earned her MSN in Nursing Administration from LaSalle University.  She has worked in the health care industry for more than 40 years as a practitioner and an administrator to promote overall health and ensure access to healthcare for all individuals, families and communities. Her work focuses on healthcare integration that is accessible, collaborative, community focused and addresses issues such as mental illness, the impact of trauma, violence and age related      illnesses. She joined University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC) in 2004 and during her tenure at UBHC, has provided vision and guidance regarding integrated services and has overseen the implementation of several innovative wellness initiatives.  She is an inaugural, Core Member of the Rutgers Global Health Institute which is committed to advancing global health working to improve health equity and expand health care access. Prior to joining UBHC, Michele worked for Friends Behavioral Health for 28 years in a variety of positions including Nursing Director, Clinical Services Director and Vice President for Clinical Services. 

She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, American Organization of Nurse Leaders and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.
