New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services program

What is NJ4S?

Rutgers UBHC is the Middlesex County Hub for the New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) program. The New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF) is funding the NJ4S-Middlesex County program that will provide an innovative hub-and-spoke model of free services and resources to support the emotional, social, and mental health of youth, their parents/caregivers, educators, and the community. Primary emphasis is to ensure early intervention and prevention services are provided while keeping the needs of the students, parents/caregivers and community at the forefront of service delivery.

What do we offer?

NJ4S Middlesex Hub offers a widespread array of Evidenced-Based and Informed Practices that target the diverse needs reflective of the county. Direct input from our Community Advisory Board; made up of local students, caregivers, and community members is taking into consideration for service delivery.

NJ4S Middlesex provides no cost prevention and early intervention services across a 3-Tiered Approach to address core competency areas that will support student success. Services can take place in schools and other spoke locations in our communities, including libraries, community centers, Family Success Centers and faith-based organizations. We operate before, during, and after school as well as select evenings and weekends and throughout the summer.
