I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Rutgers - Laboratory of Vision Research. My main aim is to design a novel procedure that uses dynamic 3D computer graphics as a diagnostic tool for assessing disease severity in schizophrenia patients, based on their reduced influence of top-down cognitive processes in interpreting bottom-up sensory input. To approach this goal I am combining three dimensional modeling and animation techniques with psychophysical experimentation to obtain psychometric functions for controls and patients and assess illness severity. I am also interested in designing visual illusions such as the one for the 2013 International Best Illusion contest (http://illusionoftheyear.com/2013/rotating-by-scaling/).
