Laura started working at UBHC in 2013 in Acute Psychiatric Services as a screening clinician and later a program coordinator. She has also worked for UBHC school based services providing mental health and crisis counseling for youth. She is QPR certified (Question Persuade Refer) for suicide prevention, Psychological First and Skills for Psychological Recovery. Prior coming to UBHC she worked in community mental health for Richard Hall Community Mental Health Center in acute partial care and psychiatric rehab with focus on clients with severe and persistent mental illness for several years. Laura has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey since 2015. Laura graduated from Northeastern University with her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and minor in Psychology. She has a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in community mental health from Rutgers School of Social Work, New Brunswick, 2012. Previous work experience includes private adoption agency work and clinical supervision for New Jersey Social Workers seeking clinical licensure. Laura is passionate about the connection between physical health and mental health for overall wellbeing.
