Katherine Suazo, MSW, LSW, is a Licensed Social Worker. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Cognitive Science & Psychology with a minor in Philosophy. Katherine also has a Master’s Degree from the Graduate School of Social Work at Rutgers University. Katherine has experience working to provide mental health treatment for children and families in an outpatient clinical setting. Katherine specializes in working with children, adolescents, families, and clients who have experienced intimate partner violence, abuse, and trauma.
Katherine has an extensive academic background that reflects her passion for social work and her commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of the individuals she works with. During her training, Katherine traveled to Kolkata, India where she was provided with an opportunity to learn up-close about the healthcare delivery and social welfare policies that impact vulnerable communities. While there, she engaged with professionals and community members to broaden her understanding of their lived experiences. In her clinical practice, Katherine employs a blend of treatment modalities including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and strength-based therapy.
