Grace Varghese, MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Advanced Practice Nurse, RUISTP, 2022-2023


Grace Varghese, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, completed her Masters in Nursing from Walden University and is licensed as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey. Prior to joining Rutgers as an RUISTP fellow, Grace worked as an Advanced Family Nurse Practitioner in the emergency department (ED) at University Hospital in Newark, NJ, specifically with pediatric patients and adult patients with the inclusion of gynecology, behavioral health disorders, drug overdose, and general addiction. Grace also worked as a registered nurse at University Hospital in the ED for 15 years. Grace has served as an adjunct professor for undergraduate nursing students at Felician University for three years. Before working in the US, she worked as a nurse in different countries including India and the Middle East (Kuwait) for 15 years. Grace speaks five languages - English, Malayalam, Hindi, Gujarati, and Arabic. Her goal for joining RUBHC’s Integrated Substance Use Disorder Training Program (RUISTP) is to have a real connection with patients who are in need in her area of care, and to prioritize the importance of follow up care and continuity.
