Dr. Sophia Jones is a Training and Consultation Specialist with Rutgers-Behavioral Health- Behavioral Research and Training Institute for the Children’s System of Care Training and Technical Assistance Program. Dr. Jones has over 18 years of experience in the behavioral health field specializing in culturally competent focused crisis intervention and service plans. She brings years of experience from the New Jersey System of Care working with children and families with behavioral health challenges. Dr. Jones continues to advocate for health equity and equal access to mental health services. She specializes in trainings focused on Working with Families Living in Poverty, Anti-Racism, Human Trafficking, Effective Team Building, The Culture of Hip-Hop, Developing Rapport with Children and Families and Safety in the Community. Sophia has an earned doctorate from Seton Hall University and is a member of the New Jersey Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
