Brett Peppe is a Licensed Professional & Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor from the Traumatic Loss Coalition (TLC) at Rutgers UBHC. Brett has started a new program at the TLC called the HOPES Program, which houses a response model of outreaching suicide loss survivors in the immediate aftermath of a suicide loss of a child 21 and under in Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth and Union Counties. Brett is a trainer for the National Child Traumatic Stress Network in Psychological First Aid and Skills for Psychological Recovery. Brett authored a book called Penelope the Powerful Parrot that helped to teach children and families coping skills during the pandemic through the New Jersey Hope and Healing Program. Along with his professional experience, Brett is a suicide loss survivor and understands the personal grief experience after losing loved ones by suicide.
