↩ Overview
Linda Kurre graduated Caldwell University in 2016 with an MA in Counseling with a Specialization in Art Therapy. Just prior to this she was interested in understanding how to combine art therapy with counseling interventions to assist victims of trauma, and completed the Rutgers Certificate Program in Trauma Response and Crisis Intervention in June 2015. She became a Registered, Board Certified Art Therapist in 2018, and worked with adolescents in a residential setting. Follow this, she worked as an art therapist in community mental health with clients of all ages and offering specialized treatment with art therapy. Linda became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2021, Licensed Professional Art Therapist in 2022, and was an adjunct lecturer at Caldwell University in 2023. Linda has focused using her skills as an art therapist in helping others and also in creating a vision of healing for victims of trauma and loss.
Linda enjoys being able to offer support and a sense of connection to lead responders and care to community members as part of her role as a Traumatic Loss Coalition (TLC) Coordinator. Linda is very grateful for the dedication and responsiveness of the members of the team in Somerset County.
