Heather Church-Soto has a passion for caring for people in their time of need. Over the last 20 years, through her extensive trauma focused clinical work with children, families, veterans and communities, she has found that hope can come in many ways during even the most difficult times. She currently is a Suicide Prevention Coordinator for the US Department of Veteran Affairs where she works with veterans at high risk for suicide, provides community education and training, and works with the Suicide Prevention Team to coordinate suicide prevention efforts for the NJ VA. From November 2015 through August 2022, Heather held the role of Coordinator for Traumatic Loss Coalition of Monmouth County which provides hope, healing, and support to children, schools and communities during a time of loss. Additionally, Heather serves as a state Disaster Response Crisis Counselor.
