E.A.R.S. (Educate, Advocate & Reduce Stress) for Caregivers (COPSA)

The E.A.R.S. (Educate, Advocate & Reduce Stress) for Caregivers Program is a caregiver-focused outreach program, conducted by professional social workers, for families/significant others of older adults age 60 and above. This free service is funded through a generous grant through the Middlesex County Department on Aging and Disabled Services. The program offers caregiver assessment, emotional support and guidance, care management, caregiver education, advocacy and linkage to community resources to assist caregivers in effectively managing their loved ones' ongoing care. The program sponsors three monthly caregiver support groups, including a group for male spousal caregivers and one for bereaved caregivers, as well as a specialized Caregiver Education Series. Caregivers eligible for services must live or work in Middlesex County or care for an older adult who lives in Middlesex County.
