Research & Innovation

Innovative behavioral health research advancing evidence-based care, clinical practice, and public policy.

Advancing Discovery, Care & Impact

University Behavioral Health Care is home to nationally recognized faculty whose research and clinical leadership are helping shape the future of behavioral health care. Through innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to improving outcomes, our faculty are advancing meaningful work in psychiatry, neuroscience, addiction, and community mental health that impacts individuals and families both locally and globally.

Diverse neuroscience researchers collaborate while reviewing brain imaging in a modern laboratory.

Addiction & Decision Neuroscience Laboratory

We use brain imaging, computational modeling, and dense longitudinal phenotyping methods to understand how people make decisions, how decision-making is shaped by motivational state and environmental context, and the mechanisms that drive risk and resilience to addictive behavior.
Our work is made possible by a dedicated and collaborative research team whose passion, curiosity, and commitment drive an innovative approach to science and discovery.
