At Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC), we understand that seeking help can be difficult, and knowing where to turn is not always easy. As New Jersey’s most comprehensive behavioral health system and the only one affiliated with a medical school, UBHC provides expert care, innovative treatments, and specialized programs for people of all ages. We also advance behavioral health through research and train professionals across the country to provide effective, compassionate care.
Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC)
Rutgers is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), providing comprehensive, coordinated care for individuals with mental health and substance use needs. CCBHC services are designed to improve access to timely treatment, connect individuals with the right level of support, and improve health and recovery outcomes.
Care Across New Jersey
Our locations across New Jersey allow us to reach families in every region of the state. By combining a central academic medical center with satellite clinics in surrounding communities, we make behavioral health services more accessible for children and families who need support close to home.

We are proud to be accredited by The Joint Commission for Behavioral Health Care & Human Services and licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health. Our Joint Commission accreditation means that our programs undergo a comprehensive review at least every three years to ensure we meet rigorous national standards for safety and quality. This accreditation reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality behavioral health and addiction services and continually improving the care and support we offer to the people and families we serve.
